Attributes

The set of optional Product / Item data that is added to a Digital Identity for brand-specific uses.

Brand

A business organization responsible for the creation of physical products, as well as creating and managing digital identities on the Platform. Brands control which Vendors (third-parties) are able to access and contribute data to their products' digital identities.

Device

A third-party application that is granted access to read and/or augment a Brand's product data, permissioned by an API key. Example devices can be web applications, RFID/NFC readers, and mobile apps.

Digital Identity

The full dataset of the properties of a unique Item, stored in the cloud and accessible via URL, API, and phyiscal identifiers (QR, NFC, RFID) attached to the Item.

EON Id

An EON created id.

Event

An occurrence that takes place when a user or application interacts with an Item’s digital identity. Typically, an interaction is triggered by a user scanning a QR Code or NFC tag, or by applications making Item-level API calls to request or amend the Item’s digital identity data. Each Event is recorded in the Item’s Passport, which provides a ledger of all Events which have occurred in that Item’s lifecycle.

GTIN

“GTIN” means Global Trade Item Number is an identifier for trade items, developed by GS1.

Item

An individual, serialized instance of a Product. Items have identical properties (e.g. size, color, material, shape), but are uniquely identified by a serialized item number. For example, if 5,000 red medium cotton Henri Blouses are manufactured and each has a digital identity, there will be 5,000 Items of the Henri Blouse Product, each with a unique serial number.

Material Id

The set of CircularID data pertaining to the composite materials and construction of a garment or Item, providing transparency into its construction and for the efficient recapture of its composite materials at the end of the Items lifecycle (e.g. chemical / mechanical recycling).

NDEF

NDEF, NFC date exchange format, is used to describe how a set of actions are to be encoded onto a NFC tag or to be exchanged between two active NFC devices. NDEF is comprised of an NDEF Message with 1+ NDEF record types.

NFC Tag

Near-field communication (NFC) is a set of communication protocols that enables communication between two electronic devices over a distance of 4 cm (1.57 in) or less.

One Time Token

A one time token created to temporarily authenticate a request.

Passport

A collection of events that relate to a unique Item’s lifecycle history, including manufacturing and production, sale, resale, rental, and recycling.

Product

A group of Items that share an identical set of properties (e.g. size, colorway, material, shape). For example, a red medium Henri Blouse and a white medium Henri Blouse would be distinct Products.

Product Id

The set of CircularID data pertaining to a finished garment or item, allowing the item to be processed efficiently by brands, resellers, rental providers, or other services.

QR code

A QR code (short for "quick-response code") is a type of two-dimensional matrix barcode. QR codes contain data for a locator, an identifier, and web tracking.

Vendor

A business organization or individual that is granted access to digital identities on the Platform. Access and permissions are managed and controlled by the Brand responsible for those products. Example Vendors include distributors, wholesalers, digital wardrobe applications, carriers, retailers, and recyclers, among others.

Verifiable QR code

A QR code with additional, verifiable data, that is not contained in the data embedded in the QR code itself, allowing for the authentication of the item and any other relevant data. Unlike standard QR codes, these are secured and can be verified through cryptographic means to ensure the product is genuine.
